1.10 - Imager Field Selection and Resolution

The CR2500’s dual eld optical system may be modied based on your scanning environment.

The 1.3 Million Pixel imager is divided into wide eld and high density decode zones. In each zone the resolution

is 1024 x 640 pixels (see Figure 1.26).

If only the high density eld is used (small symbols), the wide eld image can be ignored. If only the wide

eld is used (large symbols), the high density eld can be ignored. Further optimization may be obtained by

"windowing" the eld to a smaller area. BY DEFAULT, THE CR2500 DECODES ONLY THE WIDE FIELD.
